The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

There were a little boy, named Thomas Sawyer, but he liked to be called Tom. He is a very clever boy. He lived with his aunt, Aunt Polly; his aunt’s daughter, Mary; and also his brother, Sid. He is naughty and always makes his aunt angry of him. Because of that he always gets the punishment. He liked one girl, named Becky Thatcher, even they had engaged, but because Becky knew about Tom’s engaged with Amy Lawrence, she felt angry with him and broken his heart. He had best friends, named Joe Harper and Huckleberry Finn.

One day, he and Huck saw a great murder that was done by Indian Joe (the man that Tom scared of), but Indian Joe was a bad person, he blamed Muff Potter for his own fault. They promised not to talk about this to other people, but at least Tom gave his witness to the judge.

Tom and his friends had one another adventures. The first adventure, Tom, Huck, and Joe run away from home and did it as they are pirates. The second, Tom and Huck as pirates looked for the golden and money as pirates do. Even, Tom and Becky ever lost in the cave when they had a picnic. Fortunately, they were saved.

Finally, they got the money. Huck, who saved Mrs. Douglas’s life from Indian Joe’s plan to kill her, at least lived with her. Then, Indian Joe died. Tom made his club and persuaded Huck to follow it, in case Huck wanted to live with Mrs. Douglas and lived like another child.

“The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” suggests that a friendship mustn’t look others’ statue and must help each other. It looks in Tom Sawyer self that want to be Huck’s friend (although there was no one who would be his friend), even help him to have life like he and the other child have. It also suggests that being richer doesn’t mean people feel happy, because much money can’t buy happiness and joyful in people’s heart.

Like or Dislike:

I like the book very much. It is good, fun and interesting to read. I never feel bored when I read it. It is really entertaining me. I like Tom, because he is so clever and had many ideas. He is great. The book also gives me education about friendship and more about life.
